With the DJI Matrice 350 RTK and Zenmuse P1 we deliver orthophotos at 1–2 cm/pixel, terrain models and 3D with 1 cm horizontal RTK accuracy — ready for design, planning and permit applications.
What is an orthophoto — and what is it used for?
An orthophoto is a true-to-scale aerial image: a drone map where every pixel carries correct coordinates, so you can measure distances and areas directly in the image. We deliver orthophotos at 1–2 cm per pixel as GeoTIFF, ready for Gemini, AutoCAD and GIS. Alongside the orthophoto you get a point cloud (LAS/LAZ), terrain model (DTM/DSM) and 3D model — one dataset covers site plans, design work and documentation.
Drone or traditional land surveying?
Drone mapping covers large areas fast: a 1–4 hour flight captures what a surveyor would spend days walking, and produces a complete dataset rather than individual points. With RTK-corrected GNSS we achieve 1 cm horizontal accuracy without ground control points. Traditional surveying still has its place — for example for property boundaries with legal requirements — and we say so clearly when a job calls for a licensed surveyor instead of a drone.
For contractors, municipalities and consultants
Contractors use drone surveys for tender material, mass balance and as-built. Municipalities and planning departments use orthophotos and terrain models in zoning and permit work. Consulting engineers get point clouds and 3D models as design groundwork in open formats. Delivery normally lands within 3–5 business days, with a quality report and accuracy log.
