Construction documentation
Stavanger Drone provides construction site and progress documentation by drone across Stavanger, Sandnes and the rest of Rogaland, Norway. Scheduled flights with the DJI Matrice 350 RTK deliver orthophotos, oblique photos, 3D and as-built from the same angle every time — through the entire build.
Progress documentation that shows the development
We fly the site at a fixed interval — monthly or quarterly — on the same route, angles and parameters every time. The result is orthophotos, oblique photos and 3D models that compare directly from period to period, delivered within 48–72 hours of the flight. The material is ready for site meetings, progress reports and reporting to the client.
As-built and documentation at handover
At handover you receive a complete documentation package: as-built as orthophoto and 3D model, coordinate-referenced imagery from the entire build, and measurable data showing what was actually built. The documentation keeps its value long after handover — for claims, alterations and facility management.
Combine with volume measurement
The same flights can produce mass balance and invoicing data: volumes of excavation, fill and earthmoving are calculated from the periodic captures. One delivery then covers both progress documentation and quantity control — no extra flying time.

Frequently asked questions
How often should a construction site be documented from the air?
Most projects choose monthly or quarterly flights. We agree the frequency in the brief and fly the same route, angle and parameters every time, so progress can be compared directly from period to period.
What is as-built documentation?
As-built documents how the building or site was actually executed, as opposed to what was designed. We deliver as-built as orthophotos, 3D models and stills at handover — measurable and coordinate-referenced.
How quickly after a flight do we get the material?
Delivery typically lands within 48–72 hours of the flight — orthophoto, 3D and stills from fixed positions, ready for progress reports and meetings.
Can the same flight be used for marketing?
Yes. Alongside the technical documentation you get photo and video ready for your website, brochures and presentations — one flight covers both documentation and marketing material.
What do you need from us on site?
Very little. We plan the flight route in advance and fly without disturbing work on the ground. All we need is a short brief about the area and any restrictions.
What does construction documentation by drone cost?
The price depends on site size, flight frequency (monthly or quarterly), the scope of deliverables and the contract period — fixed agreements through the build give a lower price per flight. Describe the project and you'll get a concrete quote — usually within one business day.
